TALK on Tuesday 18th: It is currently intended to proceed with this talk, subject to any change in the rules - watch this space. All are required to wear face masks and requested to take lateral flow tests beforehand if possible. See also the precautions listed below.
CHRISTMAS LUNCH: Regretably the Lunch had to be cancelled due to the new wave of Covid infections. It is hoped an event can be held in the Spring to include the Arts and Crafts exhibition.
SCOTTISH HOLIDAY The Scottish Holiday is back on! Scheduled for 15th to 19th May 2022 with virtually the same itinery as before, and slightly cheaper. Details and booking information are in the August Newsletter. [Details] Still room for more members. [Booking Form]
NEWSLETTER 121 The Christamas edition of the Newsletter was posted on Wednesday 29th. December, with a copy on the Archive page of this website.
SUBSCRIPTIONS The subscription holiday is over and renewals will be invited from January in the month they are normally due.

CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS AT TALKS The conference centre has measures in place to mitigate any risks, and asks that all visitors wear a mask on arrival and when moving around the building. We need an accurate record of who is there, just in case we need to contact people in the event of an attendee becoming ill.
- Please bring and wear a mask when requested
- Please bring your own pen for the attendance register
- Unless your signature is easily readable, please write your name in register rather than signing it
- Guests are welcome as usual. They will be asked for a contact phone number
- Tea/coffee available after the talk as usual, but no biscuits for now
- Tea/coffee is £1.50, please bring exact money if you can 
- Bring hand sanitiser if you wish
- Relax and enjoy!


  • Please note that it is advisable to book early since many excursions fill very quickly.
  • Booking should be made using the forms contained in the most recent Newsletter.
  • Coach visits normally depart from Brunswick Terrace at the front of the Jubilee Baths in Newcastle-under-Lyme (see map)
